Description

Illustration recently commissioned for PC Answers magazine, to adorn the cover and feature on 'detoxing your PC'. Edit: The bubbles are sphere primitives emitted by a number of standard particle emitters, and there is a destructer object level with the water surface to eliminate any bubbles beyond that plane. The bubbles attached to the actual tablets, are done using the 'Place On Points' plugin! - There are also a few of the emitters duplicated, and emitting visible lights to add extra 'misty fizz'. Cinema 4D 9.5XL :)

I hope this is only one post. I've made three, but to me it looks like only one! Anyway, I had two separate ideas or questions before this one, but it looks like I posted over them. (bangs head on keyboard) First, having tried to do this sort of thing several times, let me just say, "Great job!". This is much more difficult to do well, than it looks, at least that has been my experience. Secondly, would you mind telling us how you set up the environment, tabletop, sky, lighting, camera, etc.? And thanks for all the good info you've already shared. Thirdly, are you satisfied with the refraction at the bottom of the glass and if not, what would you do differently if you could? To me, the flat edges in the darker areas may be physically rendered correctly, but my gut feeling is that rounder, smoother shapes would be more appealing. Sorry for the long messages, but I get exicted about images of liquid and glass done in C4D! Thanks for a wornderful piece of work.

An exemplary piece of work for us C4D novices to admire. Like Cybrhawg I wonder about the realism of the bottom of glass refraction or the pleasing light swirls going up the sides...could be fun stylistic improvisation! I admire the "subtle" signature/website placement that fits so well into the overall design.

I agree that this is much more difficult than it looks - and you've done a fantastic job. Superb. And thanks also for your great tips about how you did it

Absolutely fabulous again, It look only like you have some air layer between the water and the glass. Did you make the water a little big bigger then the inside of the glass? What are the reflection rings in the glass. the reflection on the ground is great.
