Description

T.King(c) Original Artwork 'Stratuspire Keep' Poster. The Enhanced Poster Print Edition image. This dark fortress overlooks the Stratuspire, a powerful gateway that opens up a portal to another world. It is rumored that the Stratuspires existed long before the fortress was built. The Keepers are known to be some of the most powerful Wizards; their magic based on mysterious Stratuspire technology. Now that my prints store is finally online, I figured it's time to start unveiling the enhanced print edition images, this was the next one up, with many more on the way. (visit http://www.cafepress.com/tkingart) ('Enhanced Poster Edition' reduced to wallpaper use size: '1280x841') Like all of my images, I hand-spline everything from the ground up, and UVW map everything with hand-painted textures. I hope you enjoy this rendition.

WooHoo! The Spine Master stikes again with another amazing image! It really baffles me how you create all this with splines as polygons are more my speed but less flexible! Great atmosphere in this image and the water in the foreground gives a wonderous touch! Excellent work!

Hi Shardz! good to hear from you! Sorry I haven't been commenting much here on Renderosity. I've been busy with so many things on my plate at the same time. Thank you for all the possitive feedback and comments. You would be surprised at just how much detail is missed in these smaller low-dpi images. The originals, at 7000x4600 (high-dpi), carry over to print amazingly well. Like where you cannot see the field distortions around the lower areas of the spires. Though you can probably see some of the mist coming from it. Without the distortion being visible, it doesn't have the same powerful, radiant energy feel. A LOT of detail gets lost when the image is downsized to 1280x841. That's the downside to these smaller images for the web. Well I hope this would at least encourage people to check out my prints. I've redone many images like this one just for prints, and though I am fast, it comes at the expense of sleep, and I'm very sore from working straight through it. My arm and shoulder feel like they are going to fall off before I go to bed. LOL :)
