Description
T.King(c) original art "Elfwood, Interface Theme".
This is a collage showing various interface pieces from both Everquest and World of Warcraft, using my total interface graphics conversion Elfwood Theme. This is naturistic, vine, twisting ivy style theme. Intitially released December 5th, 2005.
(For those who play either of these games, they are already available at the EQinterface.com and Wowinterface.com sites)
Designer notes:
This is a rather detailed theme, with all of the twisting and interwoven vines forming the very framework of panels. The concept was to organize vines into the existing framework, while maintaining the randomness of nature. Vines tend to grow up and around things, so it makes perfect sense to see defined shapes using vines.
Like all of my other images, every detail is hand-splined, and all textures are hand-painted.
This is a good example of combining both 3D and 2D approachs to create highly immersive and aesthetic interface designs. Autodesk 3D Studio Max combined with Adobe Photoshop are an incredibly effective set of tools for interface development. I have many more examples of this on the way.
Thank you for stopping by! :)
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Impressive work, as always! My cousin was art director for EQ1 and part of EQ2 before he was laid off due to budget cuts. We get together maybe once a year, but it's always interesting chatting about the game industry! Your work is just so impressive and it's definitely on or way surpassing the Blizzard level of detail! Please take that as a compliment as I hold the crew at Blizzard in the highest regard. But I think your artwork really goes beyond the depth of all of that and that you are multifaceted! Oustanding work!
