Description

Taken at the Renaissance Festival but I forgot all about it until I burned and cataloged every pic I own!! This was one of my favorites from the summer so I decided I'd tuck it in here. The chess pieces were so large that small children had trouble moving them! Enjoy your weekend. Jodie :0)

Wonderful grain on the 'horse-type-thing'! All I know about chess is queens go anywhere! If these are made of real wood - no wonder the children had problems lifting them!

That is the coolest thing I've ever seen! Must have been a huge job to make all the chess pieces!

Almost surreal... Can't imagine the work involved in carving these. Beautiful shot and nice angle, too.

fab craftsmanship on those pieces! have yet to see such a lifesize chess set.. would be a great subject.. i imagine the background on this set was not the best.. but you did well in composing the shot.. with some time & effort.. would look great leaving the man on the ledge & applying some selective filtering on the rest of the people in the backgd :]
