Description

Since I had my Renaissance file/disk out I decided to show you what I wore to the Faire. (Yes, this is me and it's odd to be on the other side of the camera!) -- HERE ARE SOME BORING DETAILS -- This is my new 'upscale wench' outfit. I thought last year's costume was too drab. "A Faire Day!" (lol) I am wearing a Celtic chemise under a black velvet bodice. Over the two skirts I draped a black lacy shawl and tied it in front. The cap is a Tam (to match the chemise). I had black Maryjanes on my feet. Last year someone (Martin?) suggested I put bits of hay in my hair to complete the wench look, but couldn't quite get to that point... heh heh. Ok...enough history on the costume. Have a great week!! Jodie :0)

What a great costume - perfect. Yes, the colors are a bit bright for the Renaissance, but you can bet if they'd been able to create such colors for fabric, they would have and would have worn them just as proudly.

Tis Goody Proctor! How stunning you look, my dear Lady. Such wonder and tenderness in you eyes and face. Perhaps you should add being a model to your c.v.?
