Description
Another case of my posting in the wrong gallery. Originally posted in the Bryce gallery because I used the engine to render him out, so I think folks assumed he was some sort of Poser morph.
While still a work in progress I'm nearing completion (or at least a point at which I force myself to move on) Modeled and tx'd in Zbrush - started as zspheres, (managed to avoid running to Max where I'm more familiar until he's 100% ready to rig) rendered in Bryce, no postwork. Thanks for taking a peek...HR

My only slight critisism would be the legs. The 'bird-hipped' design is good, but it would suffer from poor balance if it tried to lean forwards- the upper leg on a bird is a lot shorter, whilst the lower is a lot longer, this allows them them to lean forward and remain balanced. (Not that I can see your creation pecking for crumbs!!) :-)

Good eye! Thanks Kevin..there was something that was bothering me about the biology but I couldn't put my finger on it and you nailed it. It was staring me in the face all the time..back to work I go :)

The lighting and the pose are great, keep up the good work!!

Terrific. I would like to see a repost of this fella with the legs changed. I suspect that the extended skull would change over millenia. Like moneys lost tails and gained cell phones. Maybe Reptiles would loose cooling and defense characteristics in favor of spears & brains. LOL.
