Description

Today it's a special day, the day of birth of Sheila a.k.a. tvernuccio! You've stimulated me to look to this world with the eyes of a child, open-minded and fascinated by discovering this reality little by little! This one is for you!

The earth is round as you can see! But it is not that apparent! The telelens warps the straight lines a bit, so the waterline should be more straight (it's bending so little by the earth's spherical shape that it would not be visible here). But... that waterline is very sharp, because the body of water of this lake is covering a part of the spherical earth, and on the height I am standing the horizon is on a distance of about 5 or 6 km (3 or almost 4 miles). When I would lie down on the ground the horizon would be even closer! If I would stand a little higher the horizon would be further away and on a certain height (say 20 meters (70 feet) or so) I would reach a point where I could see the other lakeside.
