Description

Very quick rough strokes, trying to evoke an impression of somewhere - helps if you squint, perhaps! 0.4mm pen on cartridge paper, 5th November 2005 Thanks for stopping by as always, thank you very much for your feedback too :-)

Like all great Art, this image is quite subjective, allowing the viewer to engage their own perspective into the scene. Much like the impressionists achieved with their masterpieces, this quick sketch is such an adventure for me. Thank you so much for entertaining me with something more interactive than Poser could ever be ;) biggest hugs

No need to squint, it's a very good sketch.

i like it - great to see that the 'oldfashioned' pen and paper approach is not dead!

Quick rough strokes maybe but so well composed as to create an irresistable invitation to the viewer to follow those lines & explore & lose our selves in this imaginative place you created Jim. Once again a longer look shows me fascinating details which fire up my imagination & keep me lingering.... more please ; )

Rough and quick strokes wich allows you to write down an impression. Maybe a quick doodle but don't forget, a good sketchbook is like a diary, always a great source for yourself and your ideas. Keep it up ;) .........and the openess in this quick roughness is important for additions!

This image tells me that you have a great talent for sketching. And it reminds me that I haven't seen sketches from a good friend here since long...

I agree with Cassie. There's so much here to involve the viewer. Plus, I just like the textures of crosshatchings!

This is very well done! I can't think of anything to say other than saying maybe the foreground should have more familiar objects. That's all!!!

Fantastic! I see a couple of people in heated conversation(?), in back of a pile of sheep patiently waiting for them to finish. The fence may have something to do with the argument. Did someone breach the boundaries? I think I see one sheep picking his teeth after a meal...on the neighbors grass perhaps? You see Jim, my imagination is very active. LOL! You draw them and I will do the story, OK? I think this is excellent as a finished piece. V
