Description

This started out as a practice for an ice tutorial. I got carried away and really had fun making this. It fits perfectly for the winter season here so I thought I'd share. Credits: Daz bear and penguin Sam3D near balloon Matcreator far balloon A little PSP7 to add people in the balloons and fluff up the animal fur and feathers. I also saturated this one but have an unsaturated version elsewhere. I like the rich blue of the sky in this but now the bear doesn't look quite so cuddly. The thumb is without saturation.

Hot air ballooning in the Polar regions!???! Tres cool! In Webster's dictionary: the word 'Blasphemy (n): One who is a creator/destroyer of worlds. Your art is a good example of that deffinition, Nancy. Bravo!!!! Big V too!

Actually, the intermission is the bear stopping to look at the improbable balloons while looking for food :) Not so cuddly anymore, lol.

Nope, it's food in a ballon for the bear !!! the over saturated colours have made this render look more cartoon-ish, BTW I think the ice & water textures are too simular, maybe less reflection on the snow and more blue for the water ? just a suggestion, this is a really kool pic, pardon the pun !!! Huggles & Cheer's :o)

Reminds me of an old far side cartoon of two polar bears eating igloos. Hard crunchy outside soft chewy inside. Great pic.

Besides the great technique, the intent carries perfectly, it could be a whole chapter's story in a single image. Might make a killer cubic panorama, too.

Fantastic atmosphere and lighting. The ice looks very good. Polar bears and penguins? This is not a National Geographic image for sure. 8-) Great scene, anyway.

Hey! You've got to use some imagination here, lol!!! If someone would make a cute, little cuddly seal pup, I'll pepper the scene with them, mwahahahahahaha!!!
