Description

Had a very busy period of late and have been working on this one periodically through the back half on November. More experimenting with lighting and shadows as with these low sunsets it is quiet easy for shadows to drown details out. Quite a lot of stuff going on with the atmo here, I used a multi-atmo with some mist created with the indevelopement version of Dmytry's volumetric plugin. Mesh Credits: Russian WW2 KV-2 tank: Andrey Kurin Guard tower/small fuel tank/quanset hut: Baumgarten Enterprises Trees: xfrog public plants Large fuel tanks, truck, lamp, soldiers, metal drums are from various general 3d mesh sites. Road barriers I made using primitives. Postwork here is a bit of sharpening and flare for the light. Thanks for viewing

Impressive work. A lot of thought has gone into this & as you can see it pays off with dividends. Excellent Lighting creating a lovely crisp shot. Snow coverage is captured well on the trees, buildings, Fuel Tanks & other items so It all knits in well. Meshes & POV works really well, but why is there not any cast shadows from the meshes on the terrain?! Looks almost post gamer shot:) Nice one Lewis :))

woz, shadows are present but are a lot finer compared to most mojoworld shadow renders due to my lighting setup. Perhaps some higher shadow setting (or render settings) would fix the more distant objects? but you can see that the close tank has produced a shadow on the road/snow and the closer hut and trees are casting shadows on the snow.
