Description

"Peace on earth and goodwill toward men" Seems like a distant dream, dreamt only one month out of the year. Nowadays that sentiment seems to have faded too. While all this politically correctness is choking society, I chuckle at those that are so sensitive that the word "Christmas" is a religious statement and should be avoided in governments and commercial ads. The problem is, in America and probably most of the western world, Christmas has lost most of it's religious meaning and is mainly about sales, Santa Claus and the worth of your presents. If I say, "Merry Christmas" to someone, that isn't a statement, it's a greeting. If they reply, "Happy Hanukkah", or Happy Kwanzaa, or "Merry Christmas"- Cool! Beautiful and thought provoking image, as usual :) Your words remind me of that Longfellow poem, "I heard the bells on Christmas Day." I think I'm gonna start using that word from an ad I saw the other day -- Happy Cristmahanakwazaka! ;P
