Description

She came in this valley seeking the legendary Dragons, being it the only known access to the so called Wyrm's Kingdom, a land of massive and entangled mountains ridges... Yet after a week of tiring walking she had seen no sign of them, the only living things she had met being small queer rodents, a lone high flying eagle, and some sparse weeds. Despairing, she had finally decided to turn back, but first she headed to a little dark lake, lying in a shallow hollow at the feet of a sheer cliff, to fill her throat and her canteen. She thought of resting a while in this peaceful place, sheltered from the frozing wind by the sorrounding rocks. And it was while lazely glancing at the snow-tipped peaks, mirrowed in the stil waters, that she noticed the odd shape of an emerging stone... Her curiosity suddenly aweken, she ran straight into the lake and stood by it amazed. Was it...? Daring not to touch it, she reached out with her blade, and so it was that she became aware of the faint light coming from it... The ancient sword was a gift from the High King, presented to her for the occasion of her quest for the Dragons: "It is said that this hallowed blade was forged by the horn of a Dragon, and therefore, when the flowing blood of one of its kin is by, it will react and glow. Might this warn thee when the danger comes!", the words of a King... She felt a chilling excitement sparkle in her flash, and just at the same moment the noise of mighty wings beating the air hit her. She looked up in front of her, rising the sword at the same time straight into the direction of the coming wings, but to her bewilderment her eyes found only sheer stone! Few fateful instant passed: the wings nearing, her eyes frantically seeking them, the dread sizing her body... Then the thought came to her mind of these beautiful peaks... and of their amazing echoes... This the story going with the image, now for the "making of"! Posing in Poser6 and scene assembling & rendering in Vue5 (1,861,389 poly's rendered in 1h40'38 on a (old) 700MHz Athlon, 384MB RAM). She is Druna by Orion1167. I edited the Joan of Arc armor (DAZ) in ClothConverter to make it fit her. The great armor's textures did not imported smoothly in Vue: I had to tweek the reflections and the overall colors of the MATs. The "odd stone" is the skull of the Skeleton Dragon exported in Vue (as .obj) with its texture, then added some mixed bump from Vue's library (to "fossilize" it) and finally mixing with grass. Thanks for viewing and for reading (expecially if You really followed me till now). As I consider this a WIP image, I would be really grateful if You have any suggestions and mind to post them! PS sorry 'bout my english!
