Description

I finally decided to continue my series. More to follow:- ***************************** The light was blinding, was it heaven.... or was it hell? She rolled her head and groaned in agony. Definitely hell. Something cool and wet was placed over her face, darkening her world blissfully. She breathed in and felt the cloth pull against her burnt cracked lips. She tried to smile with pleasure and caused a web of pain over her mouth. OK, do not move, do not smile and try to breath slowly, she thought to herself. A faint ping of metal against rock made her aware that she could hear too. She waited, barely showing signs of life. "She should be coming round now. Check her pulse." The perfectly spoken English shocked her into moving her head again. "Hey! Steady on. You're body has taken quite a knock." The voice was definitely male and sounded gruff but kind. She lifted her hand weakly to her face a dragged at the covering cloth. A blurry image formed in front of her face and she blinked rapidly a few times to clear the vision as best as possible in the faint light. Her eyes grew enormous and she drew a breath to scream......
