Description

A side project for me, building this for my daughter. It's a Saga kit, stratocaster copy. I still have a great deal to finish, but i was anxious to get a feel for how it's going to look. Also, these last stages of finishing the project are pretty much dull labor. I painted the raven with brushes, i wanted a loose feel thru-out. Not sure if i like it, the airbrush artist in me wants it to be much more polished. The photos really don't show how dark the entire beast is, it's been overcoated with purple and blue flop colors. All the fittings were painted with a transparent purple so they look anodized, which lends a feminine feel, i think. Can't wait to finish it so i can start the next one. Thanks for taking a look. The quality of the finish looks very good. As someone who had to hand over to someone else the only guitar project I've ever started, I admire your persistence. The only slight crit. is that you might want to think about losing the gradient 'boundary' between the right wing and the body colour, so that it's a really sharp and clean image. Otherwise, it's fine.

Cool, REAL 3D modelling. :) This takes me back to when I used to assemble guitar parts and think of myself as a luthier. I could never get this depth of finish, though; always too impatient to start playing the thing.
