Bryce 5.5 design & comments: www.sazzart.com First this design's title: Some while back, mjr had posed a shot of Cordula under the same title. In his brief commentary, he posted a link to an article he'd wrote. The articulate, well written article, deals with honesty in photographer's & style basically; but the points he makes, IMHO, are applicable for ALL US SERIOUS THINKING ARTIST TYPES. And yes, this design, sans Cordula here, is the BG I made for the pose he posted. This design with her on it, is on my private, members only, web site. Yesterday's 'for jocko500' posting. Some people got very upset by my coments, well; I'd like to remind EVERYBODY, first, 9 11 was the SECOND attempt by terrorists, the same one's who would like to do a more serious, bigger, more devestating attack on us, America & its people. In their fanaticism, they will not quit; until they succeed or die trying. They demonstrate this everyday in Iraq! Yes, we're over there, yes , some of our troops are dying, others are killing. Consider: IF we weren't over there, a day, in the not so distant future, would come where we'd be fighting them in our streets. If you doubt that, YOU do not understand the "lead up" to 9 11, which I saw live on CNN; and you need to take a hard look at today's realities. Our politican's need to look at Viet Nam, our military NEVER quit, or lost a battle, misguided politicians lost that war for us, because the American public's will to fight was erroded by a subtle PR campagin. And that's exactly what all these Islamic fanatics are trying to do with their roasdside bombings, taking/beheading hostages, ad infinitum nauseum! Thanks for visiting. Semper Fi. ~SAZ~

Amazing artwork Saz, although I personally don't care for the fuscia color with the reds, (just a strictly personal preference). You know, you make so many valid points with your art and statements. First of all, we have the priviledge of being able to speak our minds without having to worry about disappearing in the middle of the night, or being beheaded publicly for the world to see. We have the freedoms to say what we believe without every one else having to agree with it, or even like it. A high price was, and still is, being paid for us to have that priviledge. Our service people have paid that price for us. You state the crux of the matter well. The problem is the politicians. They have no business running any war! The military should be running the war. How can any politician sitting in their cozy spot here in this country, know what is really going on? I say send them over there in military clothes, put them on the front line of fighting, without a weapon, and explain it to them more fully! Then I think we just might see better results! I am taking my soapbox now and leaving! ;0 Leann

@leann: Thank you! My political sentiment regards politicans exactly--and I'm not the only vet, Viet Nam or otherwise, who feels the same way as the last part of your excellent analysis.

The military have almost always been the armed extension of politics...AND politicians. As such, can be well guided or misguided. With the gradual quality degradation of politicians worldwide, with only a few exceptions, there's no need to wonder why we are in the present screwed up state of affairs. But leaving everything in the hands of the military, no way!. If a certain Gen. LeMay for eg., was allowed that, there would be no world at all!. Reality is much more interlaced than we commonly think. It's too simplistic blaming a bunch of fanatics for the world's problems as well as taking CNN seriously. Signed: An Illiterate Now let me enjoy this mind twisting image and imagining characters in it or the emptiness of a space that may not be as empty as it seems.

@argiebooze: You trying to tell me I didn't see two jetliners crash into the WTC, or El Presidente Chavez harraguing a crowd to riot for 2 hours on CNN? BTW,. my "illiterate" referred to the idjits who let radical Muslim clerics do their thinking for them.

I like the colours and the path! Oh, my... politics... I can't stand it! Why people can't live and let live? Is that so anusual? Fanatism is quite awful for to take it too seriously... Otherwise, I think, it's the same thing on other way around... Gee... It's madness... But I like very much your job!

I don't know if I'm commenting to pic or lyrics.. both are poinant and thought provoking. I see validity in both sides of words posted. I'm Vietnam era vet. I understand sentiments. But then again I like civilian authority over military to keep things from being skewed too far the other way. It's a fine line we try to toe. I do think it would help if everyone holding national political office were required to have served in military. May be a little more discipline and less pork belly would be good help in decision making. Off soap box now, I like the posting

The underlying pattern, beneath the colors adds such an unexpected electric charge to this image. I feel like I'm plugged in...amazing really.
