Description

Close to the Anenhütte at 2355 m (7726 ft) we find this rock, apparently smoothed by the glacier in colder times. You can see the direction of the tracks, parallel to the valley. The clouds seem gradually to get more connected so we need to notice the developments up there now and then. It took us some efforts but we reached our goal, the hut! Order yourself a nice drink or something to eat, while we walk a bit around the hut, looking where the rest of that glacier might be. It always amazes me to think that rock can be shaped so smoothly by glacial ice. Wonderful photograph Jan! BTW, thank you for the info on Lschental 9, I truly appreciate it.

Superb shot!!. Impresive view of a mountain range. And quite illustrative your description of the eroded rock. I think you should have enjoyed a lot in those moments.
