Description

This picture I've called "Lange verlorener Schatz", what means in English "Long forgotten treasure". The crystal pool in the wilderness, deep in the woods, hidden from the outside world... hidden from view. I've thought I could make something that looks a bit mystical, a bit of pure, lonesome nature - I hope I've catched a little bit of my imagination. The picture was done with Vue4 - nearly all the textures are handmade by myself (for example the moosy rocks and some plants), only the green gras texture for the forest floor I've downloaded. The frog is exported from Poser. Only the glittering water at the bottom of the waterfall was made in postwork with Photoshop 6. Any criticism is welcome - but don't forget: I'm stil a newbie with this, have mercy with me :P

This is one of the best nature renders I have seen come out of Vue. I espcially like the foreground.

The only thing I would do is render it at a higher quality. I render everything I make Not to Ultra but user settings. 12 and a little over half way on the bottom slider. Some people like this look though. I've also done butterflys and they're difficult. I found using alpha planes for them works best. One of your butterflys is in the grass. He should be lifted. The biggest butterfly if it's two of them then spread it out and if it's just one then rotate him so he stands out better. His wings are confusing at this angle. 3 out of 4 butterflys need work. they need moving a bit highter one turned. This is a excellent image man. I'll give it a 8 cause the butterfly is in impailed in the grass. If I could make this I'd be happy.

Ok... I see... I've done something REALLY wrong here :( sigh Sorry, but there are no butterflies in this picture - there are only a couple of blue, glittering crystals! Those crystals are "growing" out of the stones near the pool - that why I've called it the "crystal pool"... Next time I'll do it better, sorry folks...

Breath-taking scene! I have one in progress in a similar setting, and just can not get it right! I love everything about this picture...it all feels right! Would like to see it with camera blur of the background and at a higher render quality! Great work!!!

Excellent design and imagination, Wonderful ambiance. Details are something less of a worry, as long as the basic creativity is there ( which it is ) small problems can be sorted later. Brilliant work !
