Helloooooooooooooooo again!Nice to see you!!!LOL. So nice of you to drop in!So I shall thank you by boring you to tears...So please feel free to ignore the following unimportant babble if you want,lol... Don't worry,I won't know the difference anyway, lol. Oooh! We're getting close to the holidays!I've already noticed there are less and less of you around...So before even more of you disappear,I want to wish you all a most wonderful holiday filled with happiness and much joy! Ok.This is just something I've played with.I took a lousy pic of my daughter,(no surprise there, lol),so I decided to try to make it look like an oil painting. It was 'painted' solely with the clone and blur tools, and then I added that canvas texture.I used the same techniques I would use if I were actually 'painting',hence the shoulder blending with the background. This actually looks more like a painting the more enlarged it is.If I ever print it,I would do that most likely at 200% or so.If you do that I think you'll see what I mean... And SURPRISE(!) I'm allowing comments.LOL.I want to know what you think of this! And I must admit,I've missed commenting. So me and my three fingers are gonna attempt to visit as many of you as possible this weekend. :^) Till then, thanks for looking,(and reading, lol).Oh and thanks for the IM's you sent re my last upload. It's always great to hear from you!!! Okay, done babbling now, lol.Obviously SOME things will never change, lol.Ta! MWAH!!!! Moi :^)

Ooooooh... very beautiful "painting". Your daughter is beautiful and sweet and the technique you used is fabulous. This really does look like an oil painting. Excellent!

First, you have a very lovely daughter, if any boys came around the house (And I was her dad), I would use a quote from the movie "Clueless"...."I have a 45 and a shovel, I doubt anyone would miss you!" Now for the image, I love the effect! Very much like an oil painting, and indeed I think all your painterly sensibilities helped make this look so much like a painting! The whole post work to a photo is still new to me, so I am impressed when I see it done os well!! Nice to see you post again!! We miss you!!!

A spiffing Image here....a dab of the Paint gives it a softness ...and, as to those that don't allow Comments...fine and dandy...however, there are those that only allow "IM Comments" and....imho...this is hardly a Community thing....more the "Old Boy's or Old Girls Club"...those that participate in this Community by...ebot (just My view...as has been asked for)...once again...a fine Image...One must participate in a Community...to be ...part of it...salute

Now all you have to do is resize it to 300dpi and print it. Would look great on your wall. You even have an idea of the matting to use, but creating it in Photoshop. Cool work Marlene.

Excellent affect I might try that on a landscape I have, one good Turner deserves another, LOL. If this was a bad capture, which I doubt, then you really have turned it round. Blessed Be.

eueueueueueuhhhhhhhhhh....., aout painting and canvas, as you tel it, I believe it.... I 've looked it as a photo... so I can tell: " I love the expression of her face but the shoulders ( too much "frontal") and the framing (too much in the center ) could be better. I 'm hard, I know it, but they pay me for

As a photo I would agree,Eric...but this is supposed to look like a 'classic' oil portrait,in which case I find the framing, her pose, and the 'centeredness' of it to be just right. At least to my sensibilities.
