Helloooooooooooooooo again!Nice to see you!!!LOL.
So nice of you to drop in!So I shall thank you by boring you to tears...So please feel free to ignore the following unimportant babble if you want,lol... Don't worry,I won't know the difference anyway, lol.
Oooh! We're getting close to the holidays!I've already noticed there are less and less of you around...So before even more of you disappear,I want to wish you all a most wonderful holiday filled with happiness and much joy!
Ok.This is just something I've played with.I took a lousy pic of my daughter,(no surprise there, lol),so I decided to try to make it look like an oil painting. It was 'painted' solely with the clone and blur tools, and then I added that canvas texture.I used the same techniques I would use if I were actually 'painting',hence the shoulder blending with the background. This actually looks more like a painting the more enlarged it is.If I ever print it,I would do that most likely at 200% or so.If you do that I think you'll see what I mean...
And SURPRISE(!) I'm allowing comments.LOL.I want to know what you think of this! And I must admit,I've missed commenting. So me and my three fingers are gonna attempt to visit as many of you as possible this weekend. :^)
Till then, thanks for looking,(and reading, lol).Oh and thanks for the IM's you sent re my last upload. It's always great to hear from you!!!
Okay, done babbling now, lol.Obviously SOME things will never change, lol.Ta!
MWAH!!!!
Moi :^)

Nice to see you back from a long absence. What you have done works very, very well. Your decision was more than just the roght one, it was perfect. And as Eric (Digimon) said, I too have my shot gun ready, just still need to get my lie-detector since my daughter has changed from a tom-boy to a princess and is now a freshmen in high school. So I got to watch out. Thank you for sharing your daughter with us. I wish you and your family a happy holiday. Egmont

Very good oil painting style. Shadeing off the line of the hair and the shoulder is very beautiful. and nice colors!!

nice job done ... must have sat long, cloning and brushing ... people who have this patience always fascinate me ... came out very, very well ... and tell you daughter I am angry with her ... she is a beauty and she should smile and play with the camera instead of making such a face :) so, and now I will stop babbling away :) superb work!!!

LOL She's not smiling because she's hiding her braces!

I had to smile at your last comment - remember what it was like to be a self-concious teen? Really, though, she's a beauty and one day her radiant smile will strike them dead. Nice work, Marlene, and welcome back.

Supurb work. She is absolutely beautiful.

Very nice work, Marlene. Glad you are back. So this must be the 13 year old Lolly was talking about. She will be a beauty someday soon. She's beautiful now, even though she's covering her braces. LOL Nice technique on this.

Did not see this until now, What a fascinating face your daughter has!! Those eyes are so beautiful and expressive (and a little china-like) , and so is you work on this photo. Gorgeous postwork, like a watercolor painting.
