Description

I heard on the news that Austain [downunder land] Scienetests had say that all our buying at Christmas is ruining the world for we throw so much away that it is hurting the Earth and we must stop this madness. Just thinking what are we teaching these people in school? Let get back to bacis learning like reading and math and understand what is what. I did not use much of what I learn in school but I know that these scienetests is way off the bulls eye or the mark as some will say. thanks for looking and comments and laffing . this is a real news story I not jokeing [heard it on Friday I think]

Haven't these people heard of the green bags? 'What are we teaching these people in school?' Well obviously not environmental awareness/conservation.

People let hate rule their lives rather than truth.

I think Greed is whats doing it. Greedy people start pit others aganist one another and then reap the benifits. Truely the one good day a year will not hurt this world of ours. Send this one to your loacl news paper see if they will publish it.

LOLOL!! I think those scientists are just trying to get in the news. We make plenty of garbage year 'round. I wouldn't want to do away with Christmas for that. ;) Great capture, Jock!

I have an Aussie brother-in-law, (G'Day to you down underers)& his take living here in USA, is that we are a horrorific consumerism society, that is CLUELESS in regards to conserving/recycling limited resources. Its easy to blame schools etc; but where does a young person''s learning first start? AT HOME! eh? Excellent conceptual message Jock.

I agree, xmas has lost all of it's meaning. It's all about the best prices and the biggest, most expensive gifts. Everyone celebrates xmas, even if it's not your religion!

I really don't have much to say on this subject. I don't think Christmas is ruining the world. Strange news story. Oh, and yes, I do believe they need new ideas on how to handle the garbage all year long, not just on Christmas. (:
