Hi everybody I know its been quite awhile for me to post a pic I have had alot of things going on that I wanted to share with you. You all are my friends and I love you all so please read what I have to say. Since 1999 I have had an extreme memory loss that kept gradually getting worse. I have been to doctors, psychiatrists all couldn't help. I went to a neurologist and ran extensive tests. This Friday I got the results of my neurologist and he told me the best news and the best Xmas present I could have asked for. I have a B1 and B12 defiency. B12 is in all foods we eat my body doesn't absorb it and its been several years that this defiency has been going on in my body. Due to the defiency my symptoms were depression, memory loss, fatigue, and confusion. Please anyone who has my symptoms please take a simple test to check out your B1 and B12 levels!!! Also he told me people who have had gastric bypass must also have to take medicine for life like myself. If you know anyone that has these symptons or had gastric bypass please tell them so that they are aware!!! I am so excited my doctor stated in 3 months I should have a great difference in my memory that might allow me to go back to work. Whats really scary is he told me that if I hadn't found out in 5 years I would have had full blown Alzheimers. Cant believe a defiency could ruin your life that way. Thanks for listening!!

Hey Shannon excellent render,Im so happy to hear that you will be getting the help you need.Deppression is a killer in my eyes I know that from personal expirence. I would have never guessed that you would have had somthing wrong like that just chatting with you over the net...Im happy that you can openly talk about it and that your spirits are up. thankyou for sharing and for maybe even helping others that might have these symptoms and not know what maybe causing them...Hope you have a Merry Christmas and everything goes well for you while you undergo whatever is nessesary for you to get better..Great big HUGS your friend Joleen. WOW Thank you guys for all taking the time to read my story you dont know how happy I am. I hope everyone can mention this to inviduals that might need the help. I would have wasted my life away if it wasn't for this test. I have 2 sons that are 14 and 12. Just think 5 years I would have not been there for my children our even get to experience being a grandmother. Not that I am rushing to get any older!!(LOL)....Shannon (hugs)

Yay! I'm so happy for you! Ya know, I'm going to ask my doctor about that test, because my memory, particularely short term memory is getting worse all the time too, and fatigue and depression. Thanks for the heads up, now I'm off to write it down before I forget. LOL Great render too, it looks happy.

I see your wonderful image is very symbolic too, An elephant never forgets, and that is you sat on the elephant looking down at your former selves and remembering how it was. Yippee!! I'm happy you found a solution! I've had memory problems for years: I don't remember people I've recently met, or my boss' clients, or what I've said to people... I save ALL my e-mails and IMs! If I remember :) I'll check into B12 & B1. I have taken B supplements, but they didn't make any difference; it didn't occur to me it might be absorption problems!
