Description
Looking West by North West at Mt. Diablo which is about 35 minutes East of San Francisco in Contra Costa County. Mt. Diablo is number 2 on the list of places where one can see the farthest from a peak at 3,800 + ft. Why so low and such a far view? Because it overlooks the San Joaquin Valley which is a very long valley stretching from Los Angles to Redding. On a clear and windy day you can see Mt. Shasta with the naked eye. The San Joaquin Valley is number 5 on the list of the worlds food supply. This picture was taken in March of 2005. Sorry about the watermark. I also cropped it just in case I have to prove its mine. Sorry for being so paranoid, but I know how easy it is to get any thing visible on your monitor into your PC. I hope you like it. Its really great at high rez.

Wonderful vista on this serene landscape with the mountain on the background. You mention some names, but I don't have the faintest idea about what distances you talk (hard to find out when names are unknown), but I would love to know whether the vista over that valley would break my record! :)

The best I can describe the distance is for you to look at a geographical map of California. The San Joaqin Valley will be appearant. Look for San Francisco on the map, and Diablo is directly East about 45 minutes drive. About the record, I could be wrong on my part. But I know Mt. is a contender.
