Description
This picture was taken in the spring of 2005 at Mitchell Canyon State Park, Clayton Californian, about one hour east of San Francisco. The backside of me is Mt. Diablo State Park.
Cloud shadows is named so because of the shadows of clouds on the grassy hill. The sky is blue in the background because the clouds on this day were moving quick, and low. The clouds were wonderfully volatile. I captured this shot just as the sun and some passing clouds were rolling to the left. The shadows here moved across the grass at about 30 mph. And they kept coming like sets of ocean waves. It was almost peaceful to watch (tissue? anyone? :)
The red rock hill in the background is part of a rock corey (spelling). The tree in the center is a very large tree. I wish I had a cow passing by, because it is hard to define the proportion here. I

That is one wellgroomed field youve got there infront of those hills. One would almost think youre standing on a golfcourse or something. Beautiful colors. Have a great day. #:O)

The problem with this photo is that the grass is actually about knee high. This tree and hill is about 200 yards away. But it does make for a nice pic. Thanks.
