From my series of shots at a Washington D.C. protests a few years back. No, I wasn't protesting anything, I was there for the photos. I see this picture and sometimes I wish it was in color; her hair went from electric purple, green, yellow, and finally natural(?) black. Still, it made for such a nice B&W shot that I shouldn

great foto , i agree she looks sweet, pitty its not in color, i hope this teaches you not to use the bw mode of your camera,bw is a trick easily achieved in post ;P

That's the problem; color negatives do not have the same latitude as black and white film; it this would have been on color a good chunk of the details would be gone. All the delicate tones would not be there and no amount of photoshop would bring them back.

Amazing work, this is a great shot of a person. Ironicly her not looking at you in contrast to the other woman really renfoces a certain mood that compliments her look and the use of b/w over colour. Good composition well timed. Even the camera angle just lands pefectly.
