Great photo and a stunning atmosphere! I agree with the above, I think the subject would be more impressive if the photo was cropped a bit more. I love the contrast between subject and background. My compliments!

Yes, I agree that the photo would improve with tighter cropping. I often leave it like this for two reasons. First one is standard print size, either 2x3 ratio (4x6, 5x7, 8x12 prints), 8x10 or square format. This one was best suited to 8x10 cropping; square format would had chopped the other girl throwing everything out of balance. The second reason is that this is street photography. it is not meant to be perfect; you are looking around, things get in your way, and you are just trying to compose amid all the visual noise. I also like busy pictures :}

What a wonderful candid shot. I love these shots best of all. They're more artful than the posted ones. (That's just my opinion though.)

Very good capture, it's always hardest to shoot candid's it was a great time to shoot very nice subject and the expression with while reading is very nice.
