Description

I was poking around in my closet and I found my old Erector set...one thing lead to another and here is the result. I am shooting for realism so if you have any suggestions as to how I could make it look more real, I'd love to hear them. Peace :)

I remember having Meccano when I was young. Very well made there.

Nicely done! I remember the steel bits as being not quite so dark, though; perhaps a up the color a bit closer to white, and/or increase the reflections slightly.

It looks pretty dammed real as it is! the metal looks great, it's the plastic windshield and plastic wheels that tipped me off.

I really do not see how it would be possible to improve these elements. When I was a boy I had Meccano boxes, by these times the elements were slghtly different (but compatible). Years later when my boy (now remail, who has a nice gallery here) grew sufficiently, I bought Meccano elements and they were exactly identical to these ones. Wonderful modeling and render, very professional image!
