Description

I thought about texturing it, but I like the mood the lack of texture creates :) Perhaps I will texture it later when I get some time. This is image 1 of 4 in a series. The other 3 are on their way... I'd love to know what you think!

I kind of like the lighting here. The strong key light gives it an interesting contrast. I'd texture it though.

I'm not sure about texturing it, like you said the lack of it creates a very interesting feel to this image. The material on the floor is very creates a great contrast, and texturing the machine might take away from that. But then again, I'm a sucker for simplicity. :) It all depends on what you're trying to create here I guess. My compliments on a fine image!

I'm torn between textures and no textures. I like it the way it is no, very clean and focused on shapes and volume combined with reflections from the floor. On the other hand I think a very stylistic colour scheme might work as well, ie no photorealistic textures but basic colours to go with the basic shapes.

I agree. I think the texture of the floor and the lack of texture on the key objects creates a great contrast. I also like the mixture of simple shapes (pipes and cogs) and intricate detail like the Clock gauges, bolts and light bulb. Nice Image!
