Description

Draculaz convinced me to download the Carrara demo today, so I've been playing around. Here are my first two renders. The chess set was created in Wings3d. The top render is with three point lighting preset using default textures. The lower one I textured in Carrara and used one of the demo environments. I like the lighting options and will certainly play more with that. So much to learn, but so far..... I like it.

You can thank your friend... I personally downloaded the demo and never went back. I've got another friend who bought without trying the demo... I hope she's as impressed with the render engine as I am. Great program low cost (comparatively) nice job on the modeling and the renders!

Im impressed with the quality of both renders more so with the 2nd which with a few tweeks to the gi settings could be eevn more stunning

That's a beautiful chess set you've got there! I guess you realize the download is a gateway drug, lol. I tried it a couple of weeks ago and promptly bought the Hex/Carrara bundle with free upgrade. Under $440. for the works!! Anyway great firsties dude! Can't wait to see more. :)
