Description

This is a photograph that I took for documentation of this Public Art sculpture. The PYRAMID GROUP, a General Partnership, (of which I am a partner) met with the neighbors of the area for one year before the design was accepted. There is no graffiti on the piece. There are native, celibate,and industrial themes together in this image carefully minimized and cut out to join together as one. Thus three mysteries appear.

The cut-outs represent the snake, which is an African Woman's symbol, the Spider, which is a net or gathering place for people, the Bird for the river which can be seen from the piece, and the Tree representing life. This is a site specific piece.

The Snake is on a blue panel which is not seen in this photo.(There is a bit of edge showing though the Bird's cut-out).

I like how this photograph has similar primary colors that are reflected in many of your other gallery postings. Wasn't it nice of Nature to provide the vivid blue that is hidden in The Snake Panel? Very nice camera angle as well!
