Description

As I ws outside watching and takeing photos of firworks going off and we find some that some one drop[on the road at that] I say to myself a New Year is here; born in darken around the world in diff time zones. It was born as a baby but grows fast as it just have 365 days to live. I saw this image infront of me and yes it was foggy around here and a lot of smoke too from the fireworks. It was dark and full of mystery I thought of that song some band played and the words in Ecclesiastes chapter 3 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that whichis planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to bluild up; A time to weep; and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to rent, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. From the King James Bible. You all have a very Happy New Year

this may be how it looks as the new year baby is born and not on top of some building as a big ball comes down.

The light shimmers just a little way down the road. I had hoped it would be right here. Those who walked in darkness have seen a great light.

The song, covered by various artists, was "Turn, Turn, Turn" by Robert Zimmerman, aka Bob Dyan, a distant cousin of mine. The Byrds did the "electric" version of it, which is the one you mostly heard on raydeo back in the '60's ;-)

Jocko its about 9am Sunday morning here. The First Day of the New Year... I am so glad your image and words were the first to be sceen. Such beautiful words and there mystery in your photo. I see the New Year.. Already a young child of about 7 or 8 walking out of the chaos and pain of child birth while the old yeare slips quiet of deaths sleep. Beautiful work man...

vanity vanity vanity..!!!!! so many people need saving from them selves first.. before ever considering the faults of others....man often lives in a deluded darkness..ecclesiastes a testamony of man living without God..believe the author was possibley solomon one of the wisest men ever to live from that period... very provoking composition to move into the new year with... imaginative jocko... its beautiful :)))) and it comes from the heart ...

I think I agree with jif3d on this one Jock, a little creepy. Still, it is a wonderfully atmospheric image and I like it.
