Description
Under the blue tarp we fell in love
How distant from the rain
And the salivation of sidewalks
Only blue and you transfigured
The soft planet of your navel
Your ears sharpened with desire
Supine among the mossy rounds
Speckled in sawdust
Your hands are birds flying close by my face
As my fingers descend the low of your back
Your cheeks blue hills beneath the moon gaze
Of young eyes released
All blue in a year
When the world rolled away at last
From the dream womb
You here now spinning on a thread
Descendant from blue celestial purgings of innocence
Pinned beneath torrential rain
And the ache of existence
Even the hollows around your eyes
Are more knowing
Than the vast descriptive eloquence
Language would have us believe
