Description

Hi everyone. I know it's been awhile, but until recently, I haven't had anything spark in my old noggin. Now, I've moved, which means I am in a somewhat unfamiliar lpace, where I know no one, lost all my friends and girlfriend, and don't know what to do. So, this poem is what I wrote to express somehings, and let somethings out. Hope you like it. "His Pain is My Pain" He lays down in the bed Only to have the voices echo in his head He feels so alone in his room A chill runs down his back, it's his doom The shadows taunt him as he lay They watch and his soul is what they prey His day repeats in his head What he did and what was said All the words echoing and ring He just wants to forget everything His parents think he's going insane They wonder if they should lock him away He beats his head to clear it out All the fuss and fighting is about How he can't control his pain It refurnishes and swells in the rain Down the drain it goes. All his sorrow He hopes that the day will be better tomorrow He rolls over in his bed The thoughts and shouts echo in his head He can't seem to phase all his pain He wishes it could all just wash away But it's not like the scars he hides They won't go away in a couple of nights Now his eyes slowly close His thoughts calm down, his feelings are froze Sleep concludes his mind now The memories in his head turn around He flies off to a place of luxury And dreams of the days when he was happy

From this old, geezer's perspective - Some days those 'scars' will be your badges of life. To be honored greatly. Peace. T.P.

The flow of this piece is emotive. One can feel the insomnia. The mind racing, so much so our pillow feels like a rock, our blankets become stiff and cold, almost as if to further the punishment of self. Shadows tormenting us holding sleep over our heads. Exhausted, sleep finally comes. Well written, I enjoyed your work tremendously!

i have gone through almost the same thing but you need to remember that true friends will be there for you no matter what and so will a girlfriend if they truely care for you they might not show there sadness but secretly inside they do hurt that youve left (commented from pyrbeasts)! but this peice is very insightful to wo you are or what you were thinking about! sadly i hope you do stay sad so we can read more of your work but finding happness is a good one too!
