Description

Kodak DC240 Here's another find from the park. This log is about two cubits long and 2/3 cubit in diameter. :P We'll go back and measure tomorrow. I didn't think this would even come out because we have no macro setting. If you know what kind of critter makes these designs please enlighten us. Thanks for looking and for commments & tips. Hope your lives are as filled with joy as mine! Ken

Beetles did this work of art. I think the larger ones was done by gurg worms I guess.

So, what kind of wood is it? I've seen these kinds of marks on old lumps of tree limbs before. Never knew what made them either. So is jocko500 the most knowledgeable when it comes to bugs? Pretty different subject matter, but it got us all talking about it. That's a good thing.

Beautiful capture of this wood processed by the worms! It looks like an old tablet with inscriptions! Excellent work, very original! :)

Unbelievable designs of nature. Part of me wants to know what made them. The other loves the thoughts that flood my head in wonder. All I know is that it was the cooles log I've ever seen. And I am sure glad there were more of them, so we could have one at home.
