Ok, I was so bored last night that I decided to render a lake, based on my mood I guess it came out right ,lol..... I must give myself a massage on my back for this I need one, lol!!!

It will improve the realism if you will render large and resize. This is a better surface map. Again, make child layers under a layer, and give them almost the same color as the parent, for more realism. Look at pictures of mountains on the internet, to get a good mental picture of what they look like, especially their coloration and so forth.
