Description
Hi everyone!I hope your first days of 2006 have all been wonderful.
Recently,Kort=TWOPYNTS started a thread in the forum about his angel trumpet plant, and I uploaded this shot, just for fun.
It was then that he and Richard=ONSLOW suggested that I upload this to my gallery.
I would NEVER have done so without their encouragement.
So if you don't like it,don't blame me...blame them...LOL...just kidding. ;^)
Therefore, this pic is dedicated to these two talented and wonderful photographic artists:
Kort, for his unflagging enthusiasm and boundless creativity. You never cease to amaze me with your abstracts and your talent is limitless!
and
Richard, for his phenomenal craftsmanship and mind-boggling patience.Your wonderful gift is only surpassed by your incredible willingness to share your knowledge and expertise!
Both are a tremendous inspiration to me and I want to thank them both, from the bottom of my heart. Thanks guys, for the much-needed ego-MASsage!LOL.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, everyone, and thanks as always, for looking. Please feel free to leave any comment you wish, whether it's all-out critique or just a friendly hello.I always want to hear what you have to say!
All my best, Hugs! Marlene :^) Thanks Doug.Again.LOL.

Besides being a very good painted effect the crop you used is special. Colours are so good right down to the one you used for your signature.

Absolutely stunning. Such an impressive macro with gorgeous colors. Doug is absolutely right, the crop and font chosen are both perfect. A most beautiful dedication to two amazing artists and persons. I must have missed that thread in the forum. I rather thank them than blame them for encouraging you to upload this one. Its a gorgeous piece and it would make a fine addition to any gallery. Have a wonderful day Marlene. #:O)

It's a flower but I can see a 'petal dog' just peaking under...fab macro, great colours and composition:)

[blush] Thank you for your kind words :) Well I think this shot is special in many ways - firstly the composition is striking with its classic golden sections style. The white part of the flower is placed perfectly and the yellow flows through the other sections with ease giving a beautiful natural spiral leading into it. All the lines of the image lead inwards and keep attention within the image and lead to the main point of focus. This is a natural situation in flowers but the way you have framed this one has accentuated it perfectly. The picture also has a very natural rhythm of repeating shapes and lines which you have placed within the frame on important compositional lines again keeping all the interest within the frame and never leading the eye to where it will get lost and not return to the main point. The theme is then repeated with colour with the limited pallette. All in all Marlene a very beautiful image - flower photography at its very best - congratulations !

Wow, it is great to see how this MASsive encouragement worked out! Fantastic colorful work, it's most certainly a beauty that deserves to be posted here and I am glad to see once again how affirmation on RR gives that little push we need to grow in self-confidence and photographic skills! Reading Richard's comments I have little to add to them other then just saying it IS fabulous work, Marlene, glad to see you're posted it! :)

Well, I am thankful that you have listened to either of them and presented us with a very fine 'fine art' photograph. It certainly is a pleasure to look at and study. Thank you for sharing. Egmont

I wonder what other masterpieces we're missing. Marlene, you always post great work. Hope you get to post more. This piece is just beautiful,,the image in the middle looks like a dog with a heart shaped nose,,I would love to see you come back out of the forum and rejoin the Renderositeers..(that would be all of us in the photography gallery..lol)..You get two thumbs up for posting this awesome piece of art. I never saw the doggie until now, but there it is, plain a day! I am SO touched by your dedi. I don't think kinder words have ever been spoken about me. But you are the one deserving of praise here for this first class example of good macro photography. If it had not been zoomed in like this, I don't think it would have been as effective. You chose the perfect crop to turn this photo into art. Bravo on yourself!!! =]

Agree with above experts, wonderfully cropped, and the colors are super. I admire your skill to get that cute puppy with a heart on his nose, into the flower LOL. Sounds that you are too humble, you make wonderful images and photos!

Excellent, very delicate details and colors. Touching image. Really pure beauty!!

The little "face" in the image is priceless - it sets the imagination on "roam." Something about the color and light, the softness and the knowledge that it is a flower make the journey all the more enjoyable and exotic.

it's so incredibly beautiful, Marlene! first thing i thought of when i looked at this was how much it reminded me of Georgia O'Keeffe's paintings! I see Gerhard mentioned that also. It's quite sensuous!! i don't see any faces...just femininity. :) marvelous macro, Marlene! hope you are continuing this exploration!! :)
