Description

"Look, just tell me where that lemon came from and I'll shut up and go away." --Ricky Gervais

Okay, okay! It is called a Ponderosa lemon and it came from a tree in my parent's Florida garden. I love showing it to people because I almost always get the same reaction. "THAT is a lemon?!?", they exclaim. I say, "Yes. Yes it is." For purposes of scale, I included tiny Key Lime and an average size Bearss lemon. There was some slight postwork, but the fuzziness is from my experimenting with a new Quantaray Fog Filter. ----- Detailed information on Lemon 'Ponderosa' (Citrus limon) Family: Rutaceae Genus: Citrus (SIT-rus) Species: limon (LEE-mon) Cultivar: Ponderosa - This plant is attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds - Flowers are fragrant - This plant is suitable for growing indoors They grow on small to medium sized tree, usually to 10-25 feet high. Trees are somewhat sensitive to freezes and grow best in areas having only limited frosts and freezes. The Ponderosa Lemon tends to be slightly less hardy than other lemon varieties. Grows in conditions suitable for the average citrus, water frequently except during cold months. Fertilize 2-4 times per year. Can be container grown and was historically a common lemon grown indoors in temperate climates. Fruits are eaten raw, used in making juices, desserts, and for flavoring. They are huge grapefruit sized lemons, some have renamed it as the 'Five Pound Lemon.' Intensely fragrant flowers producing loads of these huge lemons. ----- Thank you for your submerged comments on my last upload, Deep Ice IX - Sunken City.

Im soooooo not getting your title at first either....hey...im still not getting it, LOL. But i am swedish after all, so im hiding behind that once again. Ooooh...ooooh...Homer-moment....DUH! All i had to do was to read your notes and that title started making sense, LOL. So you got this effect by screwing on a physical filter huh? Not a Potatoe Shop-filter. Thats pretty cool. Wonder how a filter like that would work on a foggy morning. You sure got some amazing DOF going there. And your frame is perfect!!!! Have a great weekend Kort!!!!!! Be sure to get plenty of ice-shots wink wink #:o)

Well, I guess it won't be as sour as the other lemon, eating it would be uh... well, you know! In four times I sliced a lemon, took the juice, added honey (and whiskey, it was an Irish recipe) and drunk the stuff to get rid of my cold! Impressive work, Kort! Big and huge dwarfing the small one! :)
