Description

New Sheba was the sole colony successfully to emulate Omphale's example and throw off Earth's control unaided, although many others tried. Whatever it was that made the difference for the New Sheba rebels, it wasn't technology. True: they were very well-armed, but no better so than the Terran forces sent to defeat them. They had a uniform of sorts, but it was only a civilian-style skinsuit, incorporating no military functions. The cuirass worn by one rebel soldier here was widely available, but almost as widely discarded, being as cumbersome as it was ineffective. The rebels made their revolt unpopular, but the clumsy Terran response made it popular again. That, perhaps, was what proved decisive. LM Stormguards from DAZ. Raygun freebie.
