Description

Well, I finally got a chance to go out and take a few wintery scenes with my camera. It was a beautiful sunny day today but very cold and windy. This was taken this afternoon with my little Pentax Optio MX4 which did not like the fridgid air one bit and I had to agree with it...lol Hope you all have a wonderful week! Thank you so much for your comments and advice. It means a lot to me and I promise to try to catch up in all of your galleries soon. ;-) ((((hugs)))) ~*~ maggie ~*~

You're very brave to go out in the cold wind! I'm not sure I'd want to chance my cam's life :} Coz I've got absolutely no money to replace it!!! But now hot summer scenes I'm happy with! Your shot would've looked fantastic if you'd had a nice big wide angle lens :D More scenery for my no-snowy eyes to take in!

Excellent work maggie! This reminds me of some of the higher areas around Canberra in Australia where I lived for some years!!!! A very cold, but wonderful scene!

Wow Maggie, this is sooo beautiful. like all the long shadows..and the light hitting the grass in the foreground is perfect..It reminds me of the Cury and Ives paintings...hope you went back in and had a hot chocolate to warm up with..big vote for this one..

Oh wow, Maggie, now I know where the red dots live, in the red farm there! Fantastic capture, Maggie, love the winter-mood here, the serenity of nature waiting to be released by higher temperatures of spring and summer! Gorgeous work! :)

The play of shadow and light across the snow is what catches my attention. This is the perfect pov, and it accents the golden stalks of tall grass in the foreground. Gorgeous!
