Thank you so much for your kind comments on my first "Colors of Winter" photo. Here is the second in this little series... I hope you like it. :-)
This was taken in Washington County, New York State, just a few days ago. The mountain in the background is actually in Warren County. It's known as West Mountain and it's where I learned to ski. :-)

oh i miss skiing .. every year i say i will go but then i get too busy with the kids .,. sigh what a beautiful place i love the little reeds blowing in the wind there!! so pretty!!

Wonderful composition..like how it goes from lights to darks to lights to darks to light...So those are the mountains you cut your teeth on with skiing. I haven't skied since I was in college, many moons ago..lol...want to see more of where my daughter grew up...

Is that all the snow you have? Awww...poor you!!!! I reckon i could give you some, its been snowing for 3 straight days now..UGH UGH UGH!!!!! Like Ray, I find the bands of sunlight traversing the image quite stunning. They make the scene, especially the way they showcase the grass in the foreground. Beautifully captured!

Well, these mountains could be named Blue Mountains as well! Love to see this wonderful landscape with that thin line of lit grasses, Maggie, a joy to see the place you know so long already!

Well done. That is a familiar bit of scenery. And they say timber clearcuts look awful.....every ski area looks as your photo shows, and yet the clearcut re-grows...Excellent photo!
