Description

" A man with one watch knows what time it is; a man with two watches is never quite sure." --Lee Segal

It is funny where inspiration comes from. I took some fun photos to post in the forum (HERE) and while resizing them, I found a neat abstract reflection. Go back to the original, crop it, do a little postwork, and TA-DA -- you have today's gallery image. I'd like to dedicate today's image to Brian (AKA - Tedz). He's no longer with us at Renderosity, but his legacy of looking at life differently (very differently) will always live on. I wish him, his menagerie, and the DEAD BIRD BRAND

Wonderful juxtaposition of repetitive patterns! Revealing a sleeping gnome, just below the veil of reality!! Rock-on!!

Look at the sky, look at the river / Isn't it good? / Look at the sky, look at the river / Isn't it good? / Winding, finding places to go. / And then one day - hooray! / Another way for gnomes to say / Oooooooooomray. / Ooooooooooooooomray. / "The Gnome" (Barrett, Syd)

It must follow then that a man with three watches is generally late AND early! Which only leaves the problem of where to strap the third one. Oh well, some things are just too complicated for old guys...

Like the blind men feeling the elephant, one a tail, another a leg, etc., we all see things in reality from our own perspective. And yes, one says the elephant feels like a tree, and another says it feels like a rope, and both are right! Reality is too varied to perceive all at once! We see the gypsy girl in the famous picture but not the old woman, or we do the opposite, but we won't never see them both together! Wonderful work, Kort, a worthy tribute!
