Description

I did ask this man to make a face but he just smile. That is a face. He had a one man show here in this art gallery. I ask him if i could take his photo and he say yes. I walking in the art walk with a small carmera on a big tripod; Taken photos in a lot of gallerys and no one spot me. I set up the tripod and start shoting. I donot have my flash on. so many of the shots comes out dark or some lighter depen on the lighting. A art walk is when all the gallery opens up from 5 to 8 p.m. on the 2th sat of the month. At lest that what it is here. So I got a lot of photos of people and artists too. I do not know none of them and I just talk to two of them. I did try to get into the gallerys[you know to put my work up] but none would have me. One did say they would but after the thrid time I talk to them and they give me the run around I know that all I get; just the run around. That ok I got some art in city hall and the Hemman center which is where the live proformance is held and that just by imvitiance only[hanging your art up]. So I going somewhere. But still I would like to sell something to get some of my money back I put into the arts. lol Guess I keep dreaming. Yes I guess it look like sour grapes talk here. [you know the fox that can not get the grapes so he say they sour anyway] Thanks for every thing like looking and comments and votes Plus reading my noncent too I do like that round window in the background at lest I looking at the back of the subject before i take photos

great picture jocko, the window behind the man is just like a halo, did you see this or was this luck? Keep trying to get an exhibition in the end some gallery will see your talent.

Nice shot! It's not that often an artist is willing to be the subject. And like ysvry said, keep trying to exhibit -- you'll get into them.

there is nothing wrong with dreaming that one's work will sell. I think you need to keep knocking on doors of opportunities, because seldom they will look for you. cool capture of this artist

Jocko it might have been better to take a very close-up pic of this artist, and really capture his facial features. ~Cheerio~

Beautifull and interesting portrait :one reason is the face,(naturally),with the semi smile ,and the compo ,the window round framing the face, and some details to watch at in the pic.

Money cannot control the deepest urges of men. Women make them happy. Stay simple. Be humble. In a hundred years the money will have raised some works to great heights and allowed others to vanish.
