Description

This was conceived as half of a diptych. This one would be the glamorous "official" portrait of a warrioress displaying her latest victory. The other half would be the REAL image-- Victoria is really banged up, about a half dozen injured or dead flunkies are in the background, the chimera is just riddled with wounds and protruding weapons, and the forest is on fire. I still have to do the second half. I think it'll be called "Victoria's Secret". I get really miffed at all the immaculately clean warriors and barbarianettes. Hell, even Frazetta's Conan in the middle of battle looks like he just stepped off the stage at Chippendale's! The armor is more of the practical stuff I tend to equip my ladies with. Ever read Frankowski's "Conrad Stargard" time traveling Medieval fantasy series? He brought up a good point about mass produced armor. Rather than build custom-made exoskeletons for each warrior, make a series of standardized plates and pieces which then are attached to a canvas jumpsuit.

LOL, love your idea. Can't wait to see it. She does see too damn chipper after what must have been a grueling battle with that Chimera.

I like your idea for this pair of images! LOL and as someone who just did an immaculate warrioress image of the type you describe I do take your point ;o) Can't wait to see the next one! Love your chimera here - a magnificent beast indeed (or it must have been once lol) and your heroines cheesey grin suits your theme perfectly! Well done!!!
