Description
On the 9th day of March in 1862, the USS Monitor met the CSS Virginia in the first combat between ironclads. Although the battle ended in stalemate between the two great ships with both sides claiming victory over the other, it was evident to both the North and the South as well as the world, that naval combat had entered a new era.
This is my thought of how the few moments before the cannons began to fire might have been viewed from inside the turret of the USS Monitor.
All comments and constructive criticism welcome.
Thanks for taking a look :o)

Great idea for a picture! A sort of "You Are There" view.
