Description

Haying time. The smell of newly cut grasses. Cool morning mist that will quickly transform into hot, humid air. Sweat trickling down face, neck, torso, and limbs. Shirt and pants soaked and sticking to your body. Nose clogged by dust and minute plant material. Body itching and grimy all over. Arms chaffed and scratched. Eyes sting from salty sweat. Muscles tired and its not even noon yet. Throat raw from all the dust. Lower back tired and aching. Noon lunch is the best ever eaten. Icy dark beer easing down your throat is paradise. Too soon back to tossing bales. The afternoon looks to be even longer than the morning....One has to love it. ************************** Many of us have received much encouragement (and on occasion, chastisement [grin]) from RETIRED. Just wanted to dedicate this picture to him and let you all know that he is extremely ill at the moment. I'd encourage you to drop him a note and let him know how much he has meant to us all. ************************** Credits: Pickup and tractor: Sams3d. trailer: Jeremy Miller. Fence: Mark Feemster and Jeremy Miller. House: Mapps. Windmill: Unknown Net freebie. Tanks: Jeremy Miller. Barn: Bob Meski. Hay bales: traveler. grain field: traveler. hills: Jeremy Miller. ground texture: Judith Ward. Athough, very hard to even make out, there are one P4M and a Don and two Judys in the cab or in back of the pickup. Used Poser6, Bryce5.5, and PSP5. Thanks for looking. Comments appreciated. Jeremy

Hmm, by your description, no wonder Dorothy left Kansas. A stary eyed girl with nothing but chores! Somewhere over the rainbow sounds enchanting. hehe. :O) Great job as always!

Nothing better than an honest days work. This brings back memorys. The picture is great, and your description almost brings the smell of the fields into my living room. Makes me home sick.

WOW! This sure brings back memories. particularly the descriptive text. You've got it to a 'T'. The tractor, truck and wagon that we used was a bit more recent than this however. But we did do the "square" bales.
