Description
Part of my Constellations series, and the last of the Zodiac related ones (don't have props for the rest of them)
My Scott character for Muscle Bound Michael with Daz' flat top hair in spiked mode. I used the basic Olympian toga with only the skirt and armbands visible (it doesn't actually fit MBM...his butt is sticking out the other side!).
Ghastley's alchemist balance scaled huge and the stand part transparent. There's something wrong with one of the dishes--it doesn't render correctly. So I rendered two images, reversing the scales, and merged them in post.
LIBRA IN GREEK MYTH: None! Sorry, there is no Greek myth for this one. The ancient Greeks saw Libra as part of Scorpius. I was the two claws of the scorpion.
The Romans invented Libra to separate and give balance to its neighbors, Virgo and Scorpius. Prior to Libra's insertion, Virgo was seen to be crushing the head of the scorpion under foot. To the Romans, Libra was "the Scales of Justice" held by Julius Caesar. Later the scales became associated with Virgo, the Goddess of Justice. The Romans choose a scale because when the zodiac was still in its infancy 4000 years ago the sun passed through this constellation at the autumnal equinox (it doesn't anymore). Equinox is when the day and night are of equal length, hence scales represented this balance.
Ancient Eqyptians also saw Libra as scales. For them, Libra was the scales upon which one's heart would be weighed after death.
PS: I'm a Libra!

Oops again (I keep doing this!)...I forgot to mention that I used some orange creature eyes from Catharina's Mike eyes pack to give him a more wicked look.
Cin-
I'm a libra too, and have been waiting for you to get around to this one! Great job! :)
