Description

Most unfortunately Wim tells me he has a severe headache. Yesterday has been a tough day and it left some painful traces. He gives me the advice to continue the hike for he wants to stay with the car and take some rest. A hard choice but in given circumstances I admit this is the best we can do. Regrettably we say bye for now and leave each other. In his case I would have done exactly the same. A hike has to be fun, not a challenge that demands too much of the body. A little further my sad mood is revived by finding these flowers, the perforate bellflower (Campanula excisa) with flowers that seem apparently perforated, a very characteristic appearance. It's a new find for me, I have never seen this flower before (only in books) and I'm happy to go down with my stomach on the ground (once again) to shoot these flowers. Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 80 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

Excellent macro, Jan-arel. They are so delicate, as if made from crepe paper, but each one individual and unique. Such is the attention to detail that God takes, in His creation. Regards, John.

Beautiful flower along your path to paradise. Poor Wim with his headache. It is an unpleasant feeling when hiking with a headache and you lose focus on what you're doing. Been there, ugh! Hope he feels better. Superb capture. Aloha

WOW!!! Now that's a purple you don't see everyday. My grandmother showed me a flower when I was a little girl. Trailing Arbutus was what she called it. It had the tiniest little flowers and the most amazing smell. Back in the early 80's it was on the verge of extinction. I haven't seen it since. Splendid find.
