Description

Modeled and rendered entirely in LightWave 3D 8.3. Still a chalk model, untextured mesh. I've been conceptualizing, designing and working on this set for a little over a month, and I think I am done with the interiors of this environment. There are almost 160,000 polygons (no n-gons, all quads and some tris) in this mesh; with 140 distinct surface names for ease of surfacing; and the mesh is organized into over a dozen layers to allow for moving parts. As you can see, this is a noodle shop. It's a sci-fi noodle shop, which actually is a front for more nefarious and clandestine activities. If you'd like to read the backstory and see even more of the design evolution of this set, you can visit this thread in the Developers Forum. Thank you very much for taking the time to view this image. Your feedback is always appreciated.

Amazing. Are you going to have Stone mason texture it? All of the stuff you two have done together is stunning.

I think Lyrra is the poor unfortunate who has to texture the 140 surfaces, (LOL, quote: "for ease of surfacing", I'm glad you didn't make it hard mate), as always my friend an excellent job in every aspect.

Holy cow Moe! Even untextured, the life you've breathed into this set is amazing! Love the stacked bowls in the dishrack! I must say I do pity Lyrra though. ;-)

I can only dream to be this good in Lightwave! Congratulations, and keep us updated on it's progress! Because I'm getting hungry for some soup. :-)

Neat. Excellent work. Don't think that I'd want to eat there, though. No telling what might be found mixed into the noodles.

Moe, this model is amazing. I've already got scenes running through my head or hatchling dragons hanging in the windows with heads still attached or in cages in the alley to remain fresh until ready. The one thing I don't see, and I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm unappreciative, is the noodles. I see the bags under the counter but we need a noodle prop/figure (Easypose for easy slurping) to be served and a wok/cooking bowl for the stove. Please take it as constructive because I do marvel at your abilities.
