Description

Saw a program on Glacier National Park. Felt inspired. Made the mats and used Oldworld's 2d trees. made the mountains by putting a bunch of pyramids and tipped cubes together and then looking down on them, I made an "altitude render". That gave me the grayscale image which I heavily worked over in the terrain lab. Used noise, subplateaus, posterize, erode, smooth over and over.

It's years since my visit to Waterton-Glacier, but I'll never forget the beauty & majesty, which you have captured.

Nice work, and those trees look perfect in the scene. Very realistic over-all. :)

The earth heaving and breathing, what a grand experience that would be. Excellent kings pines! (=
