Description
After ascending a part I have a break, not only to breathe but also to enjoy the vista. The clouds keep changing and I am not sure what they will do. Looking down you can see the Simplonpass (1997 m, 6552 ft) with the Hospiz (large building). The road continues downward to the left (not the track that goes up there), and it will pass the border with Italy southward there. There's still a long way to go, so let's carry on!

Hope you were as careful as you usually are, Jan-Carel. That scree looks dangerous, and the slope is much higher than a the coal 'bings' which I calmbered up and down when I was 5 years old. Regards, John.
