Description

This is an image from one of the many rolls of film I shot during my Black & White course. I was using my OLD Canon AT-1 which was loaded with high speed film. If that wasn't enough we pushed the film, enlarged the images to 8 x 10 or bigger and got to critique the results. Yeah...fun times. This is the image I chose for the "blue toning" assignment. Bit grainy and blown-out, but I like the mood. All comments are appreciated. Thanks for visiting! Jodie :0)

Very moody -- and the blue gives it a bit of a chill. The grain works for the overall feel. But if you find pictures that need to be de-noised, Noise Ninja is an excellent plugin for the job.

That's a very nice blue tint, and I agree with the others -- the grain fits in just fine. Very moody and mysterious.

Well comes a stage when you have to look beyond grain and blown.. and see the achievement at hand. and take into account technic used .. and ablities of the camera /film etc etc.. works for me too jodie.. it has that gorgeous atmosphere and mood... and grain is used alot within the promotional and advertising world, only have to look at cd covers , pop videos, film noir.. grain is actually art used in the right context of the subject, and does work in this scene..gorgeous !!!!!
